The Nevada Gaming Control Board gave its blessing to the renovation of the old Lady Luck Hotel and Casino. If the application is approved by the Gaming Commission on February 23, a $100 million renovation will transform the hotel into the Downtown Grand. The name change makes perfect sense to us—with the resurgence of the Downtown area, helped immensely by Zappo’s involvement, attaching the name “Downtown” to anything seems the shrewdest business move possible.

And, it seems, on that whole stashing weed in your car thing.
In news that should surprise absolutely no one, someone eating at the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas had—wait for it—a heart attack.
