Academy Award nominee Seymour Cassel traveled to Las Vegas for a special advance screening of his new film Reach for Me directed by LeVar Burton. The film co-stars Lacey Chabert, Johnny Whitworth, Adrienne Barbeau and Alfre Woodard and was screened at last weekend’s AARP Expo here at The Venetian.
Seymour also attended the Giordano World Entertainment show Voices starring Lani Misalucha at the Las Vegas Hilton while in town. This was Seymour’s first time back at the Hilton since he worked with Robert Redford and Demi Moore on 1993’s Indecent Proposal shot on location at the Hilton. The actor spent the evening at Voices and with the producers and cast at Benihana in advance of the screening.
Our contributing photographer Erik Kabik said: “Cassel was all laughs and had everyone in stitches as he puffed on his cigar and exclaimed his praise for Lani and her cast at the meet-and-greet after the show.”
Lani’s producers have now agreed to premiere Reach for Me at the Hilton in January with a star-studded red carpet event featuring all the stars and their director. Incidentally, Seymour received an Oscar nomination 40 years ago for director John Cassavetes’ Faces.
