The Palms on Thursday night celebrated the return of the Thursday night duck party at Palms Place Pool, as more than 25,000 rubber ducks took to the pool surrounding chef Kerry Simon’s restaurant Simon while partygoers searched for specially marked ducks moonlighting as prizes at the Palms.

DJ Stephi K provided the mood of electric dance music -- perfect to head into a three-day weekend of the 2012 Electric Daisy Carnival at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

“Rock and Roll Chef” Simon, whose KGB (Kerry’s Gourmet Burgers) in Harrah’s celebrated its second anniversary last weekend, joined in the festivities of the season’s first weekly duck party. Duck party early birds can enjoy Simon’s Happy Hour menu, with discounted drink and food specials, served from 4 to 7 p.m.

The duck party at Palms Place Pool commences every Thursday at 7 p.m. Thanks to contributing photographer Tom Donoghue for his photo gallery.
