Ooah. Boreta. edIT. The trio of musicians known as The Glitch Mob will be in Vegas Thursday night at Moon, a plethora of electronics in tow.

Avoiding genre-ification, their music is influenced by hip-hop, breakbeats and rock and garners a diverse fanbase. “It’s definitely high energetic dance music,” Josh Mayer, aka Ooah, says. “It’s kind of like a jazz trio in a way where each person kind of has their standard part, but you can go and create and fill in other bits and get inspired in the flow.”

In this week’s Nocturnal Admissions podcast, Ooah talks with Weekly nightlife reporter Deanna Rilling about finishing their first album, what it’s like playing in Vegas, Glitch Mob’s plans for Coachella and Winter Music Conference, and how Ooah accidentally stumbled upon electronic music after being a hardcore metal fan.
