Ferry Corsten (aka System F, Kinky Toys, Ferr…): Producer/DJ; 36; Rotterdam, Netherlands. Corsten’s Once Upon a Night album release party goes off March 30 at Blush, doors 9 p.m., $0-$35.

Corsten on playing intimate Blush Lounge: I think it’s going to be a very intense little atmosphere. The nice thing about smaller venues is it captures the energy right on.

On the fate of his laptop, which he’d just left on a plane the last time we chatted: That was gone and lost forever. So at least I had a good excuse to buy myself a brand new nice one. ... It was stupid, I had the laptop with me and I put it in the seat pocket in front of me just when we were landing and in the haste of things I just forgot to take it out of the seat pocket.

On his typical Vegas visit: I’ve never had a real, proper Vegas experience. It’s always coming in, having dinner, do the gig, wake up with a hangover, and then on the next plane out. … I’ve never really had the time to spend two or three days there.

On what gives him those wicked hangovers: Usually champagne, but there are some people in Vegas that I know that really like to kill me with Jägermeister.

Corsten discusses his new album and re-release of Out of the Blue, the System F remix contest, new video game Pulse and Once Upon a Night: The Experience in Miami during the Winter Music Conference in the free Nocturnal Admissions podcast available for download here.

Music featured in this podcast is "Right Back (Original Mix)" by Yuri Kane from Ferry Corsten's Once Upon a Night.
