The pants, they aren’t a-changin’

Mötley Crüe has endured many changes over the years. Some changes were good, some changes were not.

Vince Neil reflected on the changes last and concluded that one thing that has stayed the same is the fans.

There is another thing that has stayed the same that he failed to mention: his pants. Specifically, his tight, faded jeans with the lace-up crotch.

The bottoms are so offensive they should be criminal. If Metro had a style division, the fashion police would have issued the legendary frontman a citation.

Neil wore the offending eyesores in February when Mötley Crüe closed the old Joint and he wore them last night when the band returned to the Hard Rock Hotel to play the new-and-improved Joint.

As Neil sang himself, in the final song of the first disc of the 1989 album, Dr. Feelgood: “Now it's time for change, nothing stays the same, no it's time for change.”

Now, it’s time to change your pants, Vince.

Your physique has not stayed the same.

It’s time to change your pants.

Note: In a true case of ironic justice, Neil did change his pants last night, midway through the show and immediately following “Time for Change.” Unfortunately, though, bottoms No. 2 of the evening were an equally unflattering and tight pair made of black leather.
