Famous friends to join Ian Bagg for late night comedy

If the large theater shows at The Comedy Festival at Caesars Palace, aren’t your thing, you can still see some of the fest’s best acts in a more intimate and informal club setting. Just head across the street and a few blocks south to the LA Comedy Club at Trader Vic’s inside the Miracle Mile shops at Planet Hollywood. In addition to a beautiful view of the Strip from the top of the restaurant, you’ll get to see a special midnight show called LA Comedy Club’s Bagg of Friends, hosted by comedian Ian Bagg.

Bagg, a veteran of the late night TV circuit and Comedy Central, transplanted his comedy to LA from Canada and in the process ended up in a handful of independent movies and, according to his Web site, dating Britney Spears for a grand total of three nights.

Bagg will be hosting late night gigs Friday and Saturday at LA Comedy Club, with performers from The Comedy Festival expected to drop by, watch the show and hopefully take a turn at the mic. The Kids in the Hall and cast members from Mad TV are expected to make an appearance at one or more of the performances. Bagg has a long list of friends performing at The Comedy Festival, so don’t be surprised if folks by the names of Ellen, Jerry or Dave stop by for a round at the mic.
