While A-list movie stars and the people who love them flood Park City, Utah, this week for Sundance Twentyten, the 32nd installment of the country's largest independent film festival, a pair of familiar faces will be making sure the pretty people don't go hungry (at least not hungrier than their diets mandate) at ChefDance 2010.

The food-focused mini-fest that kicked off in 2004 brings culinary experts to the mountain town for nightly dinners meant to match the excitement of the movie- and celeb-watching 10-day party.

Tonight, Kerry Simon of Simon at Palms Place will start ChefDance with a five-course menu that boasts comforting cold-weather dishes like turkey-and-white-bean chili with roasted poblano corn bread and Parmesan gnocchi with braised heritage pork and porcini mushrooms. Skipping his signature pink cotton candy for dessert, Simon's slated to serve ricotta bomboloni (a donut with an Italian accent) with hot chocolate.

Also on the menu for the festival is Nove Italiano chef Geno Bernardo, who'll be bringing his updated Italian fare to the table Sunday. Bernardo's menu includes Barolo-braised short ribs with pumpkin polenta and chocolate ganache with sea salt, "our best olive oil" and grilled walnut bread.

Just the thing to cap a rough day of movie-watching in gorgeous Park City.
