It took awhile, but the prodigal son has returned. Guy Fieri—the 1990 UNLV grad who hosts popular Food Network series Diners, Drive-ins and Dives—recently returned to town to highlight some of our local establishments. (Prior to this visit, only the Four Kegs sports bar and Boulder City’s Coffee Cup diner had represented the Valley on the show.)

For restaurants, a visit from Fieri—a sort of modern-day Willy Wonka—is the equivalent of finding a Golden Ticket. Naked City Pizza Shop’s Chris Palmeri said he was told that, “Restaurants [on the show] can expect three to seven times the business prior to airing. I was told to expect insanity … an absolute onslaught—lines out of the door for months like they have on Pawn Stars.”

So who got their ticket punched? Along with Naked City, locations filmed for episodes expected to be shown starting in late spring include Forte, Bachi Burger and Lola’s—all quality choices. You might wanna get in line now.
