Longtime Downtown restaurant Tinoco’s Kitchen closed last week.

The restaurant operated as Tinoco’s Bistro in the Arts Factory for nearly a decade (in the space now occupied by Bar + Bistro) before moving to the Las Vegas Club in 2009. In the aging Fremont Street casino, Tinoco’s was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and also operated an adjacent lunch counter. Despite moving into a standard coffee shop space, the restaurant maintained its artsy aesthetic, as well as signature seafood and pasta dishes created by chef and owner Enrique Tinoco.

But apparently, the closure won’t mean the end of the veteran restaurant’s local presence. In northwest Las Vegas, at the corner of Durango Road and Centennial Parkway, there’s already a sign advertising a new Tinoco’s restaurant coming soon.

The closure leaves Las Vegas Club without a significant dining option, but hungry customers are being directed to the Plaza’s new selection of restaurants. Both Downtown casinos are owned by the Tamares Group.
