Chef William Henry, creator of Off The Vine Vegan & Vegetarian Prep Meals, has teamed with other community partners to create Vegan Wonderland, a pop-up market event, set for January 29 at 11 a.m. at Artisanal Foods on South Eastern Avenue. Food vendors will include Yaqui Zen Kitchen, Erb’s Vegan Kitchen and Prone To Plants, and live music and other entertainment will be part of the event. Admission is free. Oscar’s Steakhouse at the Plaza recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with the unveiling of a statue of Mayor Oscar Goodman and Tony Spilotro while also announcing plans for an expansion. The Plaza will soon begin construction to add patio dining at Oscar’s on a new rooftop structure adjacent to the lounge. The new space will seat 50 to 60 diners and will offer the full dinner menu. Construction is set to start in the spring.

Pour in the Alley is back on February 5, now taking place at the Yard at Fergusons Downtown. CraftHaus Brewery is introducing a special West Coast-style IPA as part of the Lazy Dog Beer Club’s latest quarterly release, “Attack of the Brews.” It’s the first time a local brewery has participated in the restaurant chain’s nationwide beer club. The Pow Zappa! is a refreshing brew with lemon peel aromatics and will be available on draft at Lazy Dogs in California, Nevada, Florida, Texas, Colorado, Illinois and Virginia starting on February 16, and in the beer club kits available for pick up for club members on the same day.
