For more than a year, Vegas foodies have dreamt of the authentic Middle Eastern cuisine served up by Manhattan’s famous Halal Guys. The wait is over: The New York food-cart staple opens its first Las Vegas location at the corner of Spring Mountain Road and Valley View Boulevard on Friday, August 12.
The restaurant is known for its simple menu of cult-worthy chicken, gyros and falafel, served in a bowl or wrap, plus fries, hummus, baklava and an almost-mythical white sauce. The gyros are so legendary, New Yorkers are known to wait more than 30 minutes for them. That alone should be reason to get there early.
