The parking elves of the City of Las Vegas exist. Even if you don’t believe in them, they believe in you—specifically, the part of you that was parked outside Oddfellows 10 minutes past the expired meter. This season, however, they’re softening up a bit: With Toys for Tickets, anyone who gets a non-public safety parking ticket Downtown before November 30 can pay that fine with “a non-violent, unwrapped toy or toys of equal or greater value.” Toys will be collected through December 15 and donated to local nonprofit Safe Nest. For more information—including the list of offenses excluded from the promotion, which is not a small list—visit the City of Las Vegas website.
