Vegas nightclubs are the best. Sure, we’re partial, but after our party places dominated the 2010 Nightclub & Bar Awards, it seems the whole industry is starting to agree.

“Vegas is one of the leading nightlife cities if not the nightlife city,” says Donna Hood Crecca, publisher and editorial director for Nightclub & Bar magazine. In fact, Vegas venues won every single club category at 2010’s Nightclub & Bar Awards, so now they’ve added the Las Vegas Nightclub Awards specifically to highlight our kick-ass city. “We just felt [Vegas is] such a unique market we wanted to showcase that,” Crecca says.

For 2011, local venues will compete for the title of Mega-Club of the Year, New Club of the Year, Nightclub of the Year, Ongoing Promotion/Party/Event of the Year, Resident DJ of the Year, Single Promotion/Party/Event of the Year, Ultra-Lounge of the Year and for the first time, a Dayclub of the Year category.

Think your favorite club deserves the prize? Industry professionals as well as fans are all welcome to submit nominations until November 5, after which the judges—including yours truly, Robin Leach and S.K.A.M.’s Sujit Kundu—will decide who takes home the trophies during the Nightclub and Bar Show March 7-9.
