On her iPod: I work such a crazy schedule, when I get home I like to just mellow. Sade is my favorite. I light candles and have a glass of wine.

Place to sing: Always onstage live in front of a huge audience.

Recording on TiVo: I love watching America’s Funniest Home Videos. It’s hilarious. ... I’m always tripping or banging into the wall or running into things, parked cars. I tripped down the stairs on opening night, but I pulled it off. Thank God the audience laughed.

Diet staples: Burritos. I’m a Mexican-American; I eat ’em at least three times a week. I make them myself, but if I don’t have time, I go to Chipotle.

Must-read magazine: I just love looking at the Pottery Barn catalog. My house is kind of Pottery Barn-ish.

Favorite Spanish-language album: Linda Ronstadt did a Latin CD back in the ’80s, and I really enjoyed her style of singing. It was a Mexican mariachi classic CD. I didn’t know that she was half-Mexican. She really fooled me.
