The City of Henderson has been bringing the Bard to its residents for more than 20 years now. This year Shakespeare in the Park hits the road on a four-Saturday tour, with each performance presented at a different city park. City official Andrea Primo said the schedule was expanded to make arts programming “more accessible to the community.”

This year’s production—the Scottish play Macbeth—will be performed by the Las Vegas Shakespeare Company. The play has also picked up a few impressive cast and crew members. The role of King Macbeth will be played by General Hospital star Ken Lally, and at the play’s helm is Lurie Horns Pfeffer, a Tony Award-winning stage manager.

So grab your blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets and head to a nearby park. Performances begin October 2, and admission is free.
