The excitement is electric. Insomniac keeps on surprising EDM junkies with details of its famed Electric Daisy Carnival coming to Vegas in June. This week’s announcement: Headlining acts. Tiësto will spin the opening evening, with David Guetta following on June 25 and Swedish House Mafia (Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell) wrapping up the carnival the following night. Excited much? Score your tickets on April 23 at noon. —Mark Adams

Everybody into the pool! This past weekend’s celebrity guests included two members of U.S. swimming royalty hosting pool parties. Duh. An Olympian since age 14, Amanda Beard took a weekend off from swimming to hit Palazzo’s Azure Luxury Pool. Just down the street, 14-time Olympic medalist Michael Phelps spent his weekend at Encore Beach Club, where he hosted the grand opening festivities and enjoyed some water time that didn’t include working his killer butterfly.

If there were an Urban Lounge Day in Las Vegas it would be April 26. On Tuesday the city will celebrate the opening of three new Arts District nightspots—Bar @ The Arts Factory, The Lady Silvia at Soho Lofts and Artifice. Start your pub crawl at Soho Lofts at 5 p.m. where guests can tour the soon-to-open Silvia, then head Artifice at 5:30 p.m. for a cocktail sampling, and finally, make your way to Bar at 6 p.m. for Mayor Oscar Goodman’s ribbon cutting and lounge great Ghalib Ghallab performing. Keep partying until your better judgment prevails.

It’s baaa-ack. The ultimate in debaucherous daylife, Rehab at the Hard Rock pool returned on April 17, kicking off its summer-long run by making it rain in a really serious way. Forget flicking bills at the ceiling; a helicopter hovered over the party, dropping thousands of balls containing $100,000 in cash and prizes. Beat that, Floyd Mayweather Jr. —Sarah Feldberg
