What's six inches and hard? In Vegas, that question could elicit several interpretations. But at Slice of Vegas Pizza at Mandalay Place, the answer is a cucumber.

Yes, a cucumber.

Slice’s GM Tony M. Cordovana, referred to as “The Big Slice,” further explains the What’s 6” and Hard? cocktail ($11.95) in a charming Sicilian accent: “I came up with the name because in my researches of doing the cucumber drink, the average fresh cucumber is 6 inches. … Obviously because it’s Vegas, it can be interpreted any way you’d like it.”

This perfect pick-up line drink leaves the palate satiated and hydrated. The vodka, lime and cucumber are subtle notes beneath sparkling club soda for a spritzer-like result that pairs well with Slice’s menu: appetizers like Not Your Mamma’s Garlic Bread, a good ol’ traditional Caesar salad and hot, oven-fresh pizzas.
