Elvis’ lips smacked them nearly every day with bacon and bananas. The average American will have enjoyed 1,500 of them before graduating high school. And now, choosy drinkers can choose PB&Js ($12) for their sipping pleasure, available during the month of July at STK.

Even if school’s out for the summer, pledge allegiance to this shot and beer combo, designed by STK Beverage Manager Clayton Gibson. In honor of the gastronomical icon’s roots, PB&J à la STK is 100 percent American crafted: Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey has that sweet butterscotch flavor that sticks to the roof of your mouth. Milwaukee-born and now California-bred Pabst Blue Ribbon washes it down with the finesse of milk after a spoonful of Jif. A few down the hatch, and let that inner (slightly drunken) child run free.

PB&J

Ingredients:

2 oz. Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey

12 oz. can of Pabst Blue Ribbon

Method:

Add Tennessee Honey to a shaker with ice. Shake, strain into a shot glass and serve with a cold PBR.
