Las Vegas Weekly’s Music Issue Party If you don’t have plans—hell, even if you do—head down to the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip on May 31 for this can’t-miss bash put together by, well, us. Vegas electro-pop duo Kid Meets Cougar will be onstage, with crazy candy for your eyes and ears. Vegas rock quartet Most Thieves will be onstage, previewing music from upcoming album Unnecessary Maps. And DJ Mikey Francis of Afghan Raiders fame will fill in the gaps (stay tuned for details on his new duo, Black Boots, in the coming weeks). Fashion in the City At this runway show you can see work by emerging designers and gape at America’s Next Top Model-winner Eva Marcille, the evening’s host. As Tyra would say, dress fierce. June 2, 6 p.m., $30 in advance, $40 at the door, $100 VIP, Palms Ballroom, fashioninthecitytour.com.

Miss USA Can’t get enough of the gorgeous ladies and their answers to questions about current events? Hit the dress rehearsal at 11 a.m. and the pageant/live telecast at 6 p.m. The smiles and diamonds will be shining for both. June 3, dress rehearsal $20; formal pageant $75-$150, Planet Hollywood.

Tattooed Girls Are Easy LA artist Nora Martin Hall references art deco and tattoo-style imagery in her portraits and other renderings. May 31, 6-10 p.m. and June 1, 6-11 p.m., 303 North Studio (Inside Arts Factory).

Art on the Strip Venetian and Palazzo’s inaugural summer Carnevale, three months of festive stuff, kicks off with Mese di Arte (Art Month) in June. Chalk artists, glassblowers, potters, living art installations and more will be scattered throughout the resorts’ shopping and atrium spaces. June 4-30, free, Venetian/Palazzo.

Brews & Blues Bluesy funkster Ronnie Baker Brooks headlines four bands performing at this music and beer fest, also featuring tastings from breweries like New Belgium, Firestone Walker, Big Dog’s and Joseph James. June 2, 4-8 p.m., $35 advance or $40 at the gate, Springs Preserve.

Eat

Hendertucky Comedy Night Offended yet, Henderson residents? If not, you should love this adults-only night on Water Street. June 2, 8 p.m., free, Gold Mine Tavern.
