It wasn’t just Tao’s birthday this weekend, but Tao Group co-owner Jason Strauss’, as well.

Coachella is coming to Vegas this weekend, and Vegas is going to Coachella. Sorta. Some familiar local players are putting on pop-up club experiences at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort near the festival, with a Hyde/XIV Sessions pool party featuring Chuckie and EC Twins on Saturday afternoon and an XS-lite experience with Morgan Page that night. Surrender and Encore Beach Club round things off on Sunday featuring Sultan & Ned Shepard and LA Riots.

Back on the Strip, we’re getting close to that Light at the end of the tunnel. The Mandalay Bay club has added a few upcoming dates, with Russian house producer Zedd taking over for a sneak preview on April 24 just before grand opening weekend (with previously-reported headliners Nicky Romero and Axwell). Thomas Gold, Alesso, Baauer and the Stafford Brothers round out the first volley of performances in May.

The bachelorettes are back. Tao Group is bringing the World’s Largest Bachelorette Party back to the Strip July 19-21. Last year’s festivities included contests, giveaways and complimentary spa packages, with all sorts of “girl’s night out” flair. Penis straws for everyone!

Speaking of Tao, the club celebrated its seventh anniversary last weekend with a plethora of celebrity guests, including Rumer Willis, Ken Griffey Jr. and Nick Hoult. Snoop Dogg performed and, later in the night, Busta Rhymes popped in to celebrate Tao Group co-owner Jason Strauss’ birthday.

Other celeb highlights from the weekend: Ne-Yo made a surprise appearance during Calvin Harris’ debut set at Wet Republic, and billionaire Mark Cuban was spotted partying and chatting up admirers at Encore Beach Club and Surrender.
