Big Dog’s closed its Sahara Avenue location on December 29, but at least fans of the brewpub still have the original Rancho Drive location.

Big Dog’s Brewing Company, the Las Vegas Valley’s longest-standing brewery operation, this weekend closed its Sahara Avenue location. But don’t worry, local brew fans—the company is keeping its original location open.

Big Dog’s was the creation of brothers Tom and George Wiesner, who started the business in 1988. Big Dog’s Café & Casino opened at 6390 W. Sahara Ave. in 1992.

Assistant manager Kevin Wiesner said the Sahara location officially closed on Sunday, December 29. He referred all further inquiries to CFO Robert Snyder, who could not immediately be reached for comment.

However, Wiesner says the original location, the Draft House Barn & Casino at 4543 N. Rancho Drive, will remain open, adding, “Nothing is changing there.” In other words, there will still be a place where Packers fans can gather and enjoy a Dirty Dog IPA, Holy Cow Original Pale and many more great local brews.
