Fuzz SoLow Rocking a kick drum, hi-hat, sequencer, guitar and his wailing pipes, the Vegas one-man band put on a burning set Friday night. Fuzz could easily be relegated to street corners and Mary Poppins tributes; seeing him perform on the Bunkhouse’s big outdoor stage was a treat. –Chris Bitonti

All the Apparatus While I’m not sure I would listen to the Hawaiians’ gypsy-rock fury on record, I really enjoyed the delightful slap in the face of their live energy and the interactive crowd performance Friday at Beauty Bar. A don’t-miss-live act for sure. –Andrea Domanick

Pure Bathing Culture I’ve been listening to the Portlanders’ mix of beachy, whimsical pop and ethereal ’80s beats since their Friday show at Beauty Bar. If you’re a fan of Stevie Nicks, check out Sarah Versprille’s airy vocals on my favorite track, “Lucky One.” –Leslie Ventura

Gun Outfit The mix was murky and the crowd was small, but this Olympia, Washington, four-piece still grabbed me by the ears Sunday night at Beauty Bar. Noisy alt-country live, more Sonic Youth-y on the record I bought, these guys need to ride back to town soon. –Spencer Patterson
