Two of Las Vegas’ most iconic headliners are returning to town, with Cher and Garth Brooks announcing new show dates in Las Vegas.

The former, whose new album Closer to the Truth, is out Tuesday, revealed on NBC’s Today this morning that she’ll be hitting the road for the first time in eight years with her 2014 “Dressed to Kill” tour. The 40-city North American tour will kick off March 22 in Phoenix and stops in Las Vegas at MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 25.

A ticket pre-sale for American Express cardholders will run from Sept. 30 through Oct. 3. Ticket prices and general on-sale dates and information are to be announced on Cher’s website. All online ticket purchases will come with a free copy of Closer to the Truth.

The 67-year-old singer wrapped her three-year, 200-show residency at Caesars Palace in 2011 after the conclusion of her extensive “Farewell Tour” (later renamed the “Never Can Say Goodbye Tour”) in 2005, which included a record-breaking 325 dates in 20 countries over the course of nearly three years.

Fellow Las Vegas favorite Garth Brooks will return to his resident post at Encore Theater in Wynn Las Vegas for eight performances this fall. The country legend recently concluded a slate of two years of sold-out shows at the Wynn this summer.

The new performances are Oct. 18-19 and Nov. 8-9 at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. each date. Tickets are $175 and can be purchased through the Wynn website beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m.
