According to an interview just published in NME, Killers frontman Brandon Flowers says his second solo album—the follow up to 2010’s Flamingo—should be out next year.

He told the British music weekly that he’s currently working with Ariel Rechtshaid, the producer behind Vampire Weekend’s acclaimed 2013 release Modern Vampires of the City and Haim’s breakthrough record Days Are Gone, also from last year. (He’s also reportedly in the studio with Madonna.) Though Flowers says he initially clashed with Rechtshaid, the two now see eye to eye. “He's taking me out of my comfort zone,” he says.

The singer also revealed that Las Vegas will be less of an influence on the still-untitled album than it was on Flamingo, and that he plans on returning to The Killers—who played a handful of festivals and one-offs this summer—adding that, “I wanna keep being in this band.”
