Jolene Mannina

New Orleans native Jolene Mannina has played a pivotal role in boosting Las Vegas' local food culture. She's worked in some of the city's most popular restaurants, operated a beloved food truck, organized countless events and food festivals and even turned one of them, the Back of House Brawl, into a TV show. Now she's vice president of culinary partnerships at Urban Seed, a potentially game-changing Vegas farming project, where she's connecting the Valley's most talented chefs and restaurateurs with a sustainable and important mission.

We also talk with Jolene about her days at the legendary Commander's Palace in New Orleans and Las Vegas, what it was like to roam the streets and serve green chile cheeseburgers from the Sloppi Jo's truck and what's coming up at her next battle of local chefs.

EPISODE 3: THE VEGAS YOU NEED

Jolene is a big fan of the Sand Dollar and that just happens to be the site of the next Back of House Brawl event on April 14.

Mark is excited about the new Spiegelworld show, Opium at the Cosmopolitan.

Brock just discovered his new favorite late-night snack and it's the spicy meatball plate at Herbs & Rye.
