Green Our Planet, an environmental crowd funding website, is looking for volunteers to build 12 school gardens at the following schools: Dondero, Edwards, Gehring, Scott, Blackhurst, Stevens, Whitney, Keller and Tarr elementary schools; Western and Sierra Vista high schools and Schofield Middle School. Volunteers will fill garden beds with soil, spread mulch and plant fruit trees. Closed-toed shoes, sun protection and work clothes are recommended. Green Our Planet will provide tools, water and gloves, but those who have an extra shovel or rake are encouraged to bring them.
