Last Week: Bengals 32, Raiders 13

Las Vegas remained winless since its bye week, putting on another pedestrian performance at home to lose a third straight game and fall to .500 for the first time this year. The Raiders’ offense was the biggest culprit for the loss, failing to convert a third down or score a touchdown until the fourth quarter. Quarterback Derek Carr then committed a pair of turnovers—one interception and one fumble—on the next drives to cripple any hopes of a comeback. The Raiders’ defense struggled to stop the run, as Bengals running back Joe Mixon racked up 123 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries.

This Week: Raiders (5-5) at Cowboys (7-3)

When: Thursday, November 25, 1:30 p.m.

Where: AT&T Stadium

TV: CBS (Channel 8)

Radio: 920-AM, 92.3-FM

Betting line: Cowboys -7, over/under: 51

Matchup: The Cowboys have one of the best receiving corps in the NFL, but the Raiders are likely to dodge their top two top pass-catching options. Former Raider Amari Cooper (COVID-19) and CeeDee Lamb (concussion) are both unlikely to play. Dallas struggled without them last week, losing 19-9 at Kansas City. The Cowboys have now lost two of three after also getting blown out by the Broncos two weeks ago but are still one of the favorites to reach the Super Bowl out of the NFC. They’ve made major defensive strides behind Defensive Rookie of the Year favorite Micah Parsons after ranking as one of the league’s worst units a year ago and could continue to make life hard on a reeling Las Vegas offense.

Raider to Watch: Defensive end Yannick Ngakoue

Maxx Crosby was the Raiders’ best edge rusher through the first several weeks of the season, and though he has continued to play well, Ngakoue has arguably surpassed him recently. The veteran, who signed with the Raiders as a free agent this offseason, has posted a sack in three straight games—and multiple sacks in three of the past four games. He set up the Raiders’ offense in prime scoring position with a strip-sack on the Bengals’ opening drive last week, but they ended up settling for a short field goal. The Cowboys are also dealing with injuries along the offensive line, so the stage could be set for Ngakoue to prolong his tear.
