Localites Awards at Haze Shameless self-promotion! Las Vegas Weekly is nominated in the “Best Local Gossip/News” category of this wide-ranging awards roundup, and you can vote every hour until noon Thursday at Then come party in support. Also featuring Eva Simons performing her hit, “Take Over Control,” and a set by the EC Twins, who will probably get shirtless in the DJ booth. Nice. December 2, doors at 10 p.m. $30 and up.

Steve Aoki’s birthday at Surrender Happy birthday to the champagne-poppin’, beat-droppin’, Mickey Mouse-shirt-wearin’ superstar DJ/producer. Here’s hoping the hot chick who dressed like him on Halloween will make an appearance and strip down to her skivvies again … nothing like a lady in lingerie with an Aoki beard. December 3, doors at 10:30 p.m., $30 and up.

Light It Up at Tao Happy Hanukkah! Even if you aren’t a regular participant in the festival of lights, you’re welcome to attend this event and support a good cause: All proceeds help send children (Jewish and non-) to summer camp in 2011. December 4, 7-9 p.m., $25, includes two cocktails.

BFF! Contest at Lavo Remember those half-heart Claire’s necklaces girls wore to proclaim they were best friends forever? Those ladies are all grown up and ditching the charms for something better. The hottest besties win a free trip to Cabo San Lucas and a $1,000 shopping spree. Vote at, then show up to cheer on the finalists. Tip: Making out will probably earn you extra points. Anything for your best friend, right? December 7, doors at 11 p.m., $10 and up, free for locals.

Holiday Moustache Bash at Ghostbar So that’s why N9NE Group’s male staffers have been sporting ’staches over the past month that would put Chris Hansen’s To Catch a Predator on alert. You have until Wednesday to hit puberty (or draw one on) as guest mustache judge and performer Beardo joins resident DJs 88, M!KEATTACK and Dave Fogg for a night of facial hair and fun. Open Tequila 1519 bar, 10-11 p.m. December 8, doors at 8 p.m., party starts at 10 p.m., $20, local ladies free.

Luciano at LAX It’s the end of the 20s as DJ Shift turns 30 and AMG’s Zee Zandi turns 30 … again. Don your best 1920s garb and head to Lax as DJ/producer Luciano makes his first Vegas appearance.
