This spring’s resurrection of Jersey Shore on MTV has put Paul DelVecchio, aka Pauly D, back in the public eye. But he never really left us. He has called Las Vegas home for the past five years, and Drai’s Beachclub has pinned him down for a summer residency, including a Cinco de Mayo party that will find him teaming with R&B star Trey Songz. We pinned him down for a quick Q&A.
You’re the only cast member on Jersey Shore Family Reunion who looks exactly the same. What’s your secret? Well that one I can’t really explain. I don’t know exactly, just blessed I guess. I do make taking care of myself a priority in life and GTL every chance I get; I just have to utilize hotel gyms.
What do you love most about Vegas life? I love the weather and that there is so much to do here, always something going on.
Where has touring taken you lately? Atlantic City at Harrah’s Pool After Dark, Chicago at Prysm Nightclub and Get Wet Ultra Pool in the Poconos. Those are my current residencies, and I tour in between.
And Drai’s. Drai’s Beachclub is such a great vibe, such a perfect fit for me and I feel right at home. The staff is great, and it’s just a beautiful atmosphere.
You’ve done plenty of other TV projects since Jersey Shore went off the air, but it must be nice to do that show again. Yes, I’ve been blessed to be as busy as I am. And I love to be busy because when I’m not, I get into trouble.
