Blackout Artists’ 1st Anniversary at Drai’s Nightclub While most megaclubs are exalting expensive international headliners, Drai’s Nightclub is celebrating the local guys. Thursday night will be devoted to Blackout Artists, a local DJ management company that represents 11 different Vegas booth-bangers—including DJs Ikon, Karma, Shift and Que, all slated to perform at the Cromwell’s rooftop discoteca. August 7, doors at 10 p.m., $30+ men, $20+ women.

Havana Brown at Palms Pool With routine appearances behind the booths of the city’s top nightclubs, the Australian beat beauty is no stranger to Las Vegas. Did we mention she had the entirety of the former Red Rock Amphitheater getting down while opening for Pitbull a couple years back? Here’s hoping that dance explosion happens again at the off-Strip party pool, where Brown spins an under-the-sun set on Friday. August 8, noon, $30 men, $20 women, $10 local ladies.

Trap City at Hard Rock Live Where does the college crowd go to act filthy apart from Tough Mudder and Burning Man? Hard Rock Live, apparently, as its upcoming Trap City event ought to inspire 18-and-ups to attain new levels of ratchetness. Watch the booty fly thanks to local promoter Ravealation and the trio of post-crunk producer/DJs—Loudpvck, Party Favor and LooKas—who are sure to rock the Strip music venue with a surplus of 808 bump. August 8, doors at 8 p.m., $29, $50 VIP.

Top Hat at Velveteen Rabbit Wanna hear the indie equivalent of open format? Velveteen Rabbit continues its monthly Top Hat promotion, where DJs Shaun Saville Jr., Totescity, Chris Walker and Midnight Affair hope to clear the Arts District tavern’s barstools and vintage furniture with booming soul chestnuts, nu-disco faves and remixes not brought to you by the letters E, D and M. And as they did last time around, the local dough punchers at Peace Love & Pastry will provide sweet nibbles. August 9, 10 p.m., free.

Camp Tao at Tao Beach Bug Juice and the water balloon toss get some serious (adult) upgrades Saturday afternoon, when the Venetian splash spot puts on a nostalgic throwback to your days at Camp Whateva, complete with color war games and a Stoli open bar for ladies on the guest list from 1-2 p.m. Pro tip: Chocolate + whipped cream vodka = s’more in a shot glass. You’re welcome. August 9, doors at 11 a.m., $30 men, $20 women.

Strong Beer Festival at Aces & Ales (Tenaya) Like your brewskis robust and resilient? Know what “imperial” means? This beer fest is definitely for you. Head down to the beloved beer bar’s latest location Sunday to sip and savor more than 60 heavy-duty brews, including pours (and some rare picks) from Big Sky, Dogfish Head, Lost Abbey and more. Looking for some weekend-long imbibing? The Nellis location features the same taps Friday and Saturday. August 10, noon, free entry.

Mario at Rehab Best known for his early 2000s hits “Just a Friend 2002” and “Let Me Love You,” the R&B artist is reportedly expected to drop a new album sometime this year. Catch him live—where he’ll maybe perform a few new tracks?—at the pioneering Vegas pool party Sunday afternoon. August 10, doors at 10 a.m., $50 men, $30 women.

Día De Los Tacos at Beauty Bar You’ve seen DJs and MCs do battle at the Fremont East venue, but on Sunday night, the main event will pit two taco stands against each other. Which mobile tacqueros are duking it out? As if that mattered! Though hungry patrons will be declaring the victor, this is an event where clearly, everyone wins. DJs, emcees and live band Cumbia Machin will join in—and contribute to—the fun. August 10, doors at 9 p.m., free.
