So many birthday parties, so little time. It was a triple celebration Saturday night as Lil Jon gave it up at Surrender for another year of life, plus having been cast in the next Celebrity Apprentice. Ray J, joined by sister Brandy and girlfriend Brittany Pena, blew out the candles at Pure with surprise guest Snoop Dogg. And over at Haze, John Legend marked his birth on Earth with his girlfriend, model Christine Teigen.

No, it’s not a performance by the British punk band known for “Rock the Casbah” and “London Calling.” DJ Diplo debuted his Clash Fridays at Rain last Friday. It was a packed premiere for resident DJ Dave Fogg’s set, followed by Diplo, who played into the wee hours.

STK at the Cosmopolitan has launched its weekly industry appreciation event Magnum Mondays: Because Size Matters, offering a magnum-size bottle upgrade of Veuve Clicquot for each regular-size bottle ordered from 9 p.m. to midnight. Also included: 25 percent off dinner and, this month, the sounds of S.K.A.M. Artist deejays Ross One, Reach and the Captains of Industry, DJ StoneRokk and Graham Funke. Reservations required. —Don Chareunsy

Sure, the thermometer crept up toward flip-flop levels this week (Dayclubs, you ready?), but when winter finally comes to its senses and heads back to town, you’ll need something hot, rich and very alcoholic to see you through till spring. Stop by Texas de Brazil at Town Square to sample winter-warmer cocktails like the Café Madagascar, made with vanilla-bean-infused cognac, amaretto and espresso, or the Keoki Coffee with Kahlua, brandy, dark crème de cocoa and hot coffee. Mmmm. Toasty. —Sarah Feldberg
