You’ve already heard about Andrea’s, the hip Asian “vibe dining” restaurant at Encore that will shuttle satiated guests into Surrender when it opens on New Year’s Weekend. Turns out, the folks at WynnCore have been working on more than the new supper club. Also operated by Sean Christie and Las Vegas Nightlife Group, VDKA will be adjacent to Andrea’s and open daily at 5 p.m. The bar will feature more than 150 flavored vodkas, including tangerine, basil and maple syrup, along with cocktails designed by Southern Wine and Spirits’ Francesco Lafranconi and the Shock-a-Vodka draft system when it opens on December 28.

Save a horse, ride a mechanical bull this weekend at PBR Rock Bar. The Miracle Mile venue is hosting nightly parties in honor of NFR, with performances by country bands, appearances by cowboys and Miss Rodeo America 2011, and a $500 mechanical bull-riding competition. If there’s any time to dust off your boots and hit the Strip, this week is it. Festivities at PBR stretch from December 6-15.

Shameless plug alert. On December 11, Jack Colton will present the 2012 Nightlife Entertainment Awards at Pure, honoring the people and venues that make the scene so damn cool. You can vote at in categories like Life of the Party, Favorite Mainroom DJ and, oh wouldya look at that, Media Mastermind. If you happen to cast your vote for me, thanks. And if not, well, it’s an honor just to be nominated—and maybe you can spot me a drink when you win free table service just for voting.
