Oh, pool season. Can’t you just get here already? At least you won’t have to wait long for Encore Beach Club to open, as it kicks off its spring preview on March 16. The pool club is bringing back its Daystar Sundays and Recess Fridays parties in April and May, respectively. They’re also getting a solid stable of new talent: Eric Prydz, Redfoo, Will.i.am and Dirty South, who join returning DJs David Guetta, Avicii and Afrojack. The official grand opening is April 6, with Guetta headlining the affair.

The long talked-about Sapphire Pool and Day Club is on track to open in May, next to its landmark sister strip club on Industrial Road. The club held casting earlier this week, and construction is coming along on the $8 million project, which will feature a three-tier pool complex and high-end amenities. The pool will be open Thursdays through Sundays during pool season, and the venue will also host concerts and other forms of entertainment.

Can’t get enough of that Harlem Shake craze? Neither can Kate Upton, Chrissy Teigen and the rest of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition models. The SI models shot their take on the Harlem Shake at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign last week, with a cameo appearance by UNLV’s own Hey Reb. Upton was then revealed as the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model at a red carpet event at Marquee Wednesday, with the rest of the model crew and Teigen’s fiancée John Legend making the Cosmo club a little extra fabulous. —Jorge Labrador
