On January 13, the Review-Journal reported that a Light Nightclub table hostess had filed a Jane Doe lawsuit in U.S. District Court against Light Group, complete with allegations of sexual harassment, assault and battery, on-premises drug use and other sordid behavior. Only LG’s vice president of entertainment, Mustafa Abdi, is personally named in the lawsuit (on which the nightclub operator wouldn’t specifically comment). In 2011, over a half-dozen former employees settled with LG after filing a lawsuit with allegations involving drugs and pressure to have sex with VIPs.

The legal developments overshadow Light Nightclub’s recent DJ roster announcement, which introduces defectors Dirty South and Laidback Luke, among others, to the Mandalay Bay megaclub, as well as legendary house/techno DJ/producer Carl Cox, landing his first local residency. However, Light must now share Skrillex with, and lose Zedd to, XS. Wynn Nightlife hadn’t announced its lineup at press time, though Surrender did reveal that former Las Vegan and R&B singer Ne-Yo has signed a performance residency for 2014.

Hiring season has started at Vegas pool clubs. Tao Beach and Marquee Dayclub will interview applicants from January 22-25 and January 29-February 1 at Tao. Wet Republic holds auditions from January 14-16 and 21-23 at Pure and LAX. Light Group’s casting calls for all of their pool clubs run at Haze from January 20-21. And Station Casinos will be hiring for their Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch daylife venues from January 16-17 and 23-24, at Cherry Nightclub and Lobby Bar, respectively. Times and positions for hire vary, so check each club’s website for details.
