Jet Tila, former chef at Encore's pan-Asian eatery Wazuzu, who is the Thailand government's official ambassador to America for Thai food, is planning to open Kuma Snow Cream on Memorial Day, according to the Las Vegas Weekly.
What's snow cream? It's Tila's term for a Taiwanese dessert, which is a hybrid of shaved ice and ice cream. Made from milk, rather than cream, it has far less fat content than traditional ice cream.
The snow cream flavors will include taro, green tea and honeydew and patrons will be able to mix and match their own custom frosty creation.
