Toadies and Helmet’s co-headling tour makes a stop at SOUNDWAVES at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Saturday, October 20. Special guest for the night will be Ume.

Alternative rock band Toadies was formed in 1989 during the grunge era. The group is known for its jagged riffs and extreme lyrics. The band has opened for many well-known headliners including Red Hot Chili Peppers, The White Zombies, Bush and more. Toadies latest album, Play.Rock.Music., was recently released in July 2012.

Helmet found success in 1992 when its album Meantimedebuted at No. 68 on the Billboard 200. The album was certified Gold in 1994. After nine years together, 1,600 shows and five albums the band called it quits in 1998. In 2004, founder, Page Hamilton, got a new band together under the Helmet name. Following the reunion, the band headlined at the Van’s Warped Tour, opened for Guns N’ Roses, toured in Australia and more.
