Angrier, inchier than ever

Leave it to a Wicked Little Town like ours to relaunch a production of the John Cameron Mitchell stage show turned 2001 film turned reinvigorated stage show with the most fervent cult following since The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Hedwig and the Angry Inch may be getting down and dirty at the Family Music Center, but the story of an East German transgender glam-rocker’s quest for love may not be best appreciated with the entire clan in tow. Instead, ditch the ‘rents, pull your best wig down from the shelf, warm up your pipes and make it one helluva girls?…guys?…friends night out.

June 21, 28 and July 5, 9:30 p.m., $20. Family Music Center, 942-7358.
