The spring torrent that brings to Vegas the annual influx of all things Rockabilly has finally overspilled its banks and has had to move on to larger digs. Viva Las Vegas 12 (aka Rockabilly Weekend) arrives this Thursday through Sunday, April 9-12, to the Orleans after 11 years at the Gold Coast. The four-day music festival brings with it expected record crowds to take part in a burlesque competition, a pre-1963 car show, jive lessons and contests, a tiki pool party, vendors of vintage paraphernalia and almost nonstop live music from 1 p.m. to 7 a.m. from more than 50 bands and 15 DJs. Think your pomade can stand up to that?

Four-day tickets are available for $99 in advance, $125 at the door. Not listed on the website: If the event does not reach capacity by Saturday, $50 Saturday-Sunday two-day passes will be sold, subject to availability.
