GO

Experience Hendrix Until we figure out time travel, this is the next best thing to witnessing Jimi in concert. Steve Vai, Living Colour, Ernie Isley, ex-Hendrix bandmate Billy Cox and other dudes with impressive credentials will play the songs. May 20, 8 p.m., $69-$99, Las Vegas Hilton.

H2X The South Point Arena goes undercover this weekend—as the “world’s largest swimming pool.” The 600,000-gallon puddle will be a spectacle in and of itself, and the watercross racing, jet ski stunts and wakeboarding? Not too bad, either. May 20 & 21, 8 p.m., $20-$60.

Rammstein Mention German industrial-metal, and involuntary memories of the swollen riffs in “Du Hast” will fly. The live show promises to be delightfully nightmarish. May 21, 8 p.m., $66.50-$96.50, Thomas & Mack.

Trails & Tails Explore the Springs Preserve’s 1.8 miles of trails with your canine companion. Also: pet tricks and Metro K-9 Unit demonstrations, along with pet exhibitors and vendors. May 21, 10 a.m., free.

SEE

Bridesmaids Balancing outrageous comedy with sincere character development, Bridesmaids is a great showcase for Kristen Wiig and an entertaining look at the ups and downs of friendships. Now playing citywide.

Zip Codes Twenty-two local artists interpret their various communities in 89XXXhibition at UNLV’s Barrick Museum. May 20-July 9, free; reception May 20, 7 p.m.

EAT

Taste of the Nation Fighting hunger by eating might sound ironic, but with 38 restaurants on the menu, it tastes delicious. May 19, 6:30-9 p.m., $75-$120, Rain nightclub, strength.org.

USA Barbecue Championship More than 100 teams of the best ’cuers in the world compete for $125,000 in prizes. Who really wins? The dining public. May 21 & 22, 11 a.m., free, Orleans.

DRINK

Stone domination Several of the brewery’s 26 beers on tap at Aces & Ales have never left California. Rarities include Bourbon-Aged Smoked Porter and Chipotle Double Bastard. Begins Friday at noon, 3740 S. Nellis Blvd.
