Las Vegas’ talent gets a spotlight in PBS’ Arts Fall Festival

Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Viva Elvis’ will be featured on PBS’ Arts Fall Festival.

PBS launched its Arts Fall Festival this month, pairing national and local performances for Friday night broadcasts. That means local viewers can watch a documentary on Pearl Jam followed by video of Ronnie Vannucci (of the Killers) and his new band, Big Talk. Or, check out Coco Jenkins of Rhyme N’ Rhythm after watching the documentary Women Who Rock.

The PBS Arts Fall Festival, featuring performances and musicians in nine different communities, will continue through December 16. Vegas PBS’ General Manager Tom Axtell says the program is designed to expose audiences to different genres and highlight Las Vegas’ talent.

On Dec. 23, Donny Osmond will host a show featuring a compilation of the series’ Vegas-based video segments.
