Events guide: Halloween club events 2012

Though locals and tourists alike don’t usually need an excuse for a risqué costume in Las Vegas, expect an over-the-top display of skin and creativity through the middle of next week as Halloweek hits the Strip. If the below list of clubbing and dining options is a little much for you, switch gears and check out our community Halloween event listings for family-friendly activities.

Friday, October 26:

Attack of the Mummy: Moon presents Attack of the Mummy with sounds by M!keattack. There will be a costume contest for the best overall costume, with $5,000 going to the winner and $1,500 to the runner-up.

Heaven & Hell at Señor Frog’s: The two-story party bar at T.I. puts on two costume parties this weekend and Halloween night. Upstairs will be a Heaven wonderland and downstairs will be a hell-themed playground, to accommodate the various angels and devils partying on the Strip. The party runs Oct. 26, 27 and 31.

Rum 'N Bones: Tabu celebrates Halloween Oct. 26–29 with a Rum 'N Bones–filled celebration. Enjoy Captain Morgan cocktail specials throughout the weekend. DJ Eric Forbes will kick off the holiday festivities during Forbes Fridays, then DJ Kid Jay will take over the turntables Saturday night. On Sunday, DJ Dezie spins at Girls Do It Better Sundays. Captain Morgan and the Morganettes will make a special appearance Sunday as well and there will be $10,000 in cash and prizes for guests sporting the best costumes.

Haunted Aoki's House at Surrender: Turkish/German DJ and producer Deniz Koyu spins along with Steve Aoki at Haunted Aoki's House.

Electro of Oz at Marquee: Italian DJ Benny Benassi, also known as the “Electroman,” spins at Marquee Nightclub for a Halloween celebration called Electro of Oz.

DJ Prostyle: Haze kicks off its Halloween Weekend with a $10,000 costume contest with a special guest DJ set from DJ Prostyle.

Sultan & Ned Shepard at XS: Canadian DJ Sultan has done work with the Deep Dish label as well as Bedrock Breaks. He'll perform along with frequent collaborator Ned Shepard.

Couture Halloween Party: Lily welcomes Sancho Van Ryan and Sancho Couture for a stylish Halloween party. Wear your most shocking outfits and dance to the sounds of DJ Epic One.

DJ Politik at Tao: The youngest member of the Deckstar DJ conglomerate, DJ Politik, spins at Tao Fridays.

Halloween costume party at Chateau: Neon clothes and side ponytails will certainly be welcome at Chateau's Thriller Everything '80s Halloween costume party featuring $5,000 in cash and prizes.

Halloween Massacre: The Beatles Revolution Lounge welcomes the Bombmakers to mix hip-hop and dubstep, plus additional music from DJ Earwaxxx. Ladies in costume can enjoy open bar from 10 p.m. until midnight and there's a sexy costume contest with a $250 prize.

Six Days of Halloween costume contests: Piranha celebrates Halloween all weekend long with costume contests during Six Days of Halloween. Prizes on Friday and Saturday total $1,000 each night, $2,000 Sunday, $500 Monday and Tuesday and $5,000 on Wednesday for the main event.

Halloween drink specials: Posh Boutique Nightclub offers buy-one-get-one drinks on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday. The four-day party will feature music from DJs Sincere, Myk, Joey Mazzola and 5150. The club opens at midnight each night.

Tacos & Tequila Halloween specials: Chef Saul Ortiz at Tacos & Tequila has added new Halloween goodies to the menu available exclusively from Oct. 26 to Nov. 4. T&T will unveil its newest cocktail, the Devil’s Kiss Martini, available exclusively during the month of October to honor All Hallow’s Eve. Priced at $12, the wickedly delicious concoction is rimmed with chocolate and mixed with Patron XO, Stoli vanilla vodka, amaretto and cream. Guests can also enjoy various new appetizers, priced at $3. The restaurant will also offer ghost wings made with crispy breaded chicken wings tossed in T&T’s original ghost pepper sauce, priced at $10. On Oct. 26 and 27, enjoy music from a DJ from 8–11 p.m. and $5 Dos Equis.

Saturday, October 27:

Pinata Party Massacre Ghostbar Dayclub celebrates with the Pinata Party Massacre with $2,500 going to the sexiest costume.

Halloween Bourbon Bash at the Bourbon Room: The Rock of Ages-inspired bar keeps with its theme with an ’80s-themed Halloween party. Partygoers in ’80s attire receive a free shot upon entry. Guests can opt for the $35 wristband and get unlimited wells, house wines and domestic beers (from 8 to 10 p.m.).

Maxim’s Halloween Party at Lavo: The men’s magazine celebrates at the Palazzo venue with a party hosted by Kid Rock. The “Cowboy” singer hosts a “sexy little devil” costume contest where the winner takes home $1,000, a signed Kid Rock guitar, a year of Maxim — and a personal photo on maxim.com.

Redfoo at Tao: The Venetian club presents a special performance by Redfoo of LMFAO & the Party Rock Crew so be sure to wear your animal print pants, out of control, of course. Earlier in the day, catch the party animals at Lavo’s party brunch.

The Haunted Hotel Ball at Mandalay Bay: Spice up your Halloween weekend with a performance by Havana Brown and a $5,000 costume contest. The party has sold out in cities like Chicago and Scottsdale in years past and now visits Sin City. The event combines the elements of a VIP nightclub experience, with the lavishness of a hotel gala, and the terror of a haunted house.

JWoww at Chateau: Reality television star Jenni “JWoww” Farley hosts a sexy Halloween party at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens for the second year in a row. Like last year, she's planning to coordinate her costume with long-time boyfriend Roger Matthews. The Jersey Shore and Snooki & JWoww star will surely be wearing another fist pump-worthy outfit.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween special: Enjoy a special midnight Halloween showing at Regency Tropicana Cinemas. The event will feature the live record-breaking performance shadow-cast of Frankie’s Favorite Obsession, est. 2001, which will also present a special Halloween musical pre-show. There will be three costume contests with the themes of Halloween, Rocky Horror and drag. No outside props; interactive prop kits are available for $1.

Halloween sake special: Rice & Company at Luxor celebrates Halloween with Demon Slayer sake paired with the Wicked Roll of the West for the entire month of October. The Wicked Roll is made with spicy tuna, yellowtail, cucumber and avocado and topped with a spicy mayo. The sushi and sake duo are $30.

CollectiveZoo's Halloween sleepover: CollectiveZoo celebrates Halloweekend with a two-day monster bash, which stopped first at the Artisan Hotel Boutique on Thursday and continues on to Oracle Mansion on Saturday. Enjoy music from DJs Kaotic, Volterra, Starmada, BOXFED, Topsider and Zack the Ripper, and an open bar from 9 to 10 p.m. at Artisan and music from DJ Jim Green and Bombmakers at Oracle, plus a $3,000 costume contest.

Haunted Dada Land at Surrender: Celebrate the weekend with Dada Life at the Encore hotspot when the Swedish electro house duo turns it into Haunted Dada Land. Link Text

Heaven and Hell Halloween: The Caesars club hosts a Heaven and Hell Halloween event complete with a costume contest. Five ladies will be chosen as winners for “Sexiest Costume” and take home $30,000 in total cash prizes.

Sexiest Vixen costume contest at LAX: Halloween festivities begin Saturday at the Luxor club with the search for the “Sexiest Vixen.” Clubgoers donning sultry and sinful costumes will have the opportunity to compete for $10,000 in cash prizes.

LAX’s Life After Death Halloween party: Fun at the Luxor continues Wednesday night with the Life After Death Halloween party featuring actor Jamal Woolard of the movie Notorious. Woolard will do a live performance, emulating the late Notorious B.I.G.’s famous hit songs.

Hyde’s Masquerade: Hyde Bellagio and Dom Perignon present a masquerade party with celebrity guest Stacy Keibler. Guests can “hyde” behind their favorite masquerade mask. Enjoy Halloween-inspired live presentations from Cirque du Soleil performance artists and music from DJs Jace One and Konflikt.

Mix Master Mike at The Bank: Bellagio’s nightclub presents Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys spinning alongside DJ Karma.

Halloween costume contest: Revolver hosts a Most Original Costume Contest with a $2,000 prize. The cover is $5, and $3 drink and shot specials rotate every hour and will include American Honey, Jagermeister, Three Olives, Absolut and Malibu.

ATB at Marquee: ATB headlines at the Cosmo club along with Armin Van Buuren, DJ Mag's newly crowned Top DJ of 2012.

Scott Disick: Reality TV star Scott Disick's American Psycho Halloween Extravaganza takes place at 1 Oak Nightclub. Try and keep up with the Keeping Keeping Up With The Kardasians star as he dances to the sounds of DJs Ikon and Que.

T-Pain at Haze: The hip-hop artist and reality TV star makes an exclusive guest appearance at Haze at Aria, where costumed party-goers can enjoy music from resident DJ E-Rock.

Fetish & Fantasy Ball: The annual Halloween extravaganza returns to the Hard Rock for another year of risque costumes that certainly push the envelope. Find out just why so many magazines and travel guides say this is a party not to miss.

Sunday, October 28:

Haunted House Music : Ghostbar presents Haunted House Music with Kevin Brown and DJ Casanova. There will be a costume contest for the best overall costume with $1,000 going to the winner and $500 to the runner-up.

Superheroes and Villains Halloween Party at Insert Coin(s): The videobar/gamelounge encourages guests to break out the spandex and capes while playing their favorite superhero and villains video games.

Neon Halloween at Lavo: DJ Vice presents Neon Halloween at Vice Sundays, where you can bust out your finest neon costumes and try to blind the competition.

Sexiest Halloween Costume Contest: Sometimes scaring the pants off of somebody is a good thing! The Bank celebrates with the Sexiest Halloween Costume Contest and a $10,000 grand prize plus music from resident DJ Karma.

DJ Pauly D: Hard Rock Hotel ends this year’s Rehab Sunday pool party with a final encore performance by DJ Pauly D. Later that evening the reality star will sign Remix bottles, his pre-game vodka-based cocktails, in front of Hard Rock Store. Pre-Halloween festivities kick off during the Sinners’ Ball at Vanity Nightclub with a costume contest featuring $50,000 in cash and prizes and a performance by the costumed DJ.

Monday, October 29:

Park Rock Halloween at Marquee: One half of LMFAO, Redfoo, hardly needs a costume as he brings back his Party Rock antics, complete with champagne showers and inflatable zebras, and this time he's bringing Chuckie along for the party.

Evil Dead the Musical at the V Theater: For those who don't know, this hilarious live stage show takes all the elements of the cult classic horror films, Evil Dead 1, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, then combines them to make a craziest theatrical experience and the only musical to include a splatter zone. The show has added special Halloweek performances including Oct. 29, 30 at 10 p.m. and Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 at 8:30 and 11:30 p.m.

Halloween dress rehearsal: STK will have specialty shots Good vs. Evil as well as pumpkin panna cotta with chocolate fudge macaroon and dulce de leche. Magnum Monday will be a Halloween dress rehearsal so guests are encouraged to wear costumes to test drive or Halloween.

Tuesday, October 30:

Sky Blu at Pure: The other half of LMFAO brings his Who Came to Party?! event to the Caesars hotspot with a “Superheroes and Villains” theme. Captain Animal Print Pants, perhaps?

Fancy Sauce- It's to Die For: Moon Nightclub presents a Halloween edition of Fancy Sauce. There will be a costume contest for the best overall costume, with $5,000 going to the winner and $1,5000 to the runner up.

Goretorium hosts at Hyde: The Strip-side haunted house hosts at the Bellagio hotspot’s All Hallow’s Eve bash. Enjoy music from the EC Twins at the special edition of the club’s Lost Angels industry night.

Dirty South: Australian DJ/remixer/record producer Dirty South has headlined at both Coachella and the Electronic Daisy Carnival. He'll spin Halloween Eve at Lavo.

Halloween gelato special: Pastry Chef Hank Sbraccia will celebrate National Candy Corn Day and Halloween with his candy corn gelato offered exclusively on Oct. 30 and 31 at Trevi inside the Forum Shops at Caesars. The dessert features a combination of crushed candy corns swirled in a creamy vanilla-flavored gelato, priced at $4.50 per scoop.

Major Lazer: Expect an exciting night at the industry Halloween party at 1 Oak Nightclub, which features a special live performance from electronic super-group Major Lazer along with resident DJs Karma and Ikon.

Wednesday, October 31:

Monster Bash at Beauty Bar: Enjoy $3 Pumpkin Pie shots, a live set from local band Red Eye Radio and beats by DJs Xander Xero and Know Well plus a costume contest with a $50 bar tab.

Cowboys vs. Zombies Halloween Party at Gilley’s: Aside from sounding like a must-see B horror movie, this party will feature drink specials, music from Ryan Whyte Maloney, costume and costumed bull-riding contests and a “Thriller” dance-off, so don’t forget your sequined glove.

Night of Masks at Bagatelle: The self-proclaimed “originators of the champagne brunch” kick off their Vegas venture with supper club and nightlife operations on Halloween night. Wear a mask and be among the first to check out the new venue.

Naughtiest Halloween Costume Bash: Adult Stars Tasha Reign and Sandy and Spencer Scott will host the Naughtiest Halloween Costume Bash at Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club. Tasha Reign will also perform on stage as well as give a lap dance to the lucky winner of the Sapphire social media contest.

DUB Magazine Halloween Party at Tao: Check out the official DUB Magazine Halloween Party with special appearances by Kirko Bangz and DJ Quik plus sounds by Eric D-Lux.

Haunted Hoe-down: PBR Rock Bar inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood celebrates Halloween with a Haunted Hoe-down complete with costume contests and prizes. Guests can try their luck with the costume bull riding competition at 9 p.m. The top three winners will be awarded open bar tabs for $200, $100 and $50, respectively. The (non bull-riding) costume contest starts at midnight, when one man and one woman with the best costume will be chosen to win a complimentary bottle of their choice.

Official UFC Halloween Party at Lavo: The Palazzo presents the UFC’s event hosted by bantamweight fighter Urijah Faber with a special appearance by UFC Octagon Girl Arianny Celeste and sounds by DJ Five.

Happy Halloween Hour at Cabo Wabo: Sammy Hagar’s restaurant and bar inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood offers discounted cocktails for customers in costume on Halloween. Enjoy $4 well drinks during an extended Happy Halloween Hour from 3 to 10 p.m.

Nelly's birthday: Hip-hop superstar Nelly will perform live with plenty of tricks and treats. He's also celebrating his birthday so this is sure to be quite the party.

Revolver’s Sexiest costume contest: The Santa Fe Station nightclub offers a Sexiest Costume Contest with a $1,000 prize. Enjoy $1 drinks (well and draft) for ladies until 11 p.m.

Fright Night Pub Crawl: Green Valley Ranch celebrates Halloween with its annual Fright Night Pub Crawl. From 8-9 p.m. in the Lobby Bar, enjoy $1 Jell-o shots and $1 Bacardi Bat Bite cocktails. From 9-10 p.m. at Quinn's, enjoy $5 Bacardi Zombie cocktail and $3 Vampire Kiss shots.
