See

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens As Las Vegans, we love fall. The leaves change, the air’s crisp and temperatures (finally) dip under triple-digits. Take in all of the season’s beauty at the Bellagio, when its conservatory transforms into a wine country-inspired cornucopia. Through November 24.

Homeland Showtime’s intense espionage drama dominated the Emmy Awards this past weekend, and now it’s back for a second season of breathless plot twists, emotional confrontations and stellar acting (from Emmy winners Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, among others). Sundays, 10 p.m.; premieres September 30.

Laugh

Second City Touring Company The legendary sketch comedy troupe that has over the years counted Bill Murray, John Candy and Tina Fey among its members, brings its hilarity to UNLV for an evening of improv theater. September 28, 8 p.m., $30-$55, Ham Hall.

Christopher Titus Think you had a tough childhood? You won’t after hearing this guy. Few comedians mine so much ridiculously funny material from dysfunctional families. Go get some gut-busting perspective. It’s good for you. September 29-30, 7:30 p.m., $15-$25, South Point.

Get your Thor on at the Las Vegas Comic Expo, at the Riviera Sept. 29-30.

Las Vegas Comic Expo It’s been years since Vegas has hosted a full-scale comic-book convention, but this weekend finally brings a new event to town, featuring exhibitors, panel discussions, costume contests, gaming and appearances from industry stars including Mike Mignola and Adam Hughes. September 29-30, Riviera, $25-$40, lasvegascomicexpo.com.

Hear

The Greyboy Allstars The Las Vegas Jam Band Society’s 200th show should be a funky one, with San Diego’s celebrated “boogaloo” crew—scheduled to play just twice in 2012—joined on the bill by the local madmen of Moksha. September 28, 8 p.m., $30-$35, Hard Rock Cafe (Strip).

Rise Against The Chicago punks have been steadily amassing fans for more than a decade. Even if you’re not among them, consider this show for the opening acts: reunited Florida vets Hot Water Music and hotly tipped Jersey boys The Gaslight Anthem. October 1, 7:30 p.m., $35-$75.50, the Joint.
