Tony Bennett, Cheap Trick and Pat Benatar, Alabama Shakes and more announce Vegas shows

From classic crooners to indie breakout acts, this week’s Las Vegas concert announcements spans the decades:

Legendary Vegas favorite Tony Bennett returns with a special one-night-only performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday, May 3. Tickets range from $59.50 to $169 and can be purchased beginning Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m. at the The Colosseum Box Office or online at www.thecolosseum.com.

Cheap Trick and Pat Benatar with Neil Giraldo will share a bill at the Palms’ Pearl Theater on June 15. Tickets for pop-rock filled evening start at $50 and go on sale this Friday, March 15 at noon via Ticketmaster and the Pearl Box Office.

Also at the Pearl are blues-soul favorites Alabama Shakes, who will play a show on Friday, July 19. Tickets to see the 2013 Grammy nominees start at $45 and go on sale Saturday, March 16 at the Pearl Box Office and Ticketmaster.

Jon Bon Jovi and The Kings of Suburbia will play at Hard Rock’s The Joint on Sunday, March 24 for a night of the eponymous singer’s classic band hits and new solo material. Tickets start at $69.50 and are currently on sale through Ticketmaster and the Hard Rock Box Office.

Funk heroes Grand Funk Railroad will bring their classic hits like “We’re An American Band” to the Orleans Showroom April 20 and 21. Tickets start at $39.95 and can be purchased the Orleans Box Office or by calling 702-365-7075.

Chicago rockers Chevelle will bring their aggro alt metal to the Hard Rock’s pool on May 3 as part of the hotel’s summer Soundwaves poolside concert series. Tickets are currently on sale and cost $24.

British breakout band Skinny Lister will stop in Vegas en route to Coachella with a show at Backstage Bar and Billiards on Saturday, April 13. Tickets cost $8 and can be purchased through Ticketfly.

Also en route from Coachella are Latin rockers Cafe Tacuba, touring with their latest release El Objeto Antes Llamado Disco. They play the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay on Sunday, April 14. Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster and cost $49.50.

Vegas’ Doom in June festival returns for a third year June 1 at the Cheyenne Saloon, boasting a day-long slate of heavy rock and doom metal. Headlining acts include The Skull, Manilla Road and Karma to Burn. The event kicks off at 1 p.m. Tickets cost $16 and can be purchased online and at the door.
