Spirited events Fans of over-the-top spirit experiences, rejoice! This week the Freakin’ Frog is sponsoring not one but two incredible events, both of which you’ll be guaranteed to be telling your friends about in the months to come. First up is a keg tapping of Dansk Mjlød’s Viking Blod, an artisanal Danish mead, to coincide with the premiere of Thor: The Dark World on Thursday, November 7. The Marvel-themed fun starts at 11 a.m., with The Avengers, Thor and more being shown on the bar’s big-screen. Entry is free, but glasses are $10 apiece ($12 the day after), and there’s a limit of two per person—this monster clocks in at nearly 19 percent ABV! Then, on November 10, Frog owner Adam Carmer will reach into his massive Willett collection for a sampling of some of the best bourbon in America. At $100 per person, the event isn’t cheap, but one sip and you’ll discover why this is Carmer’s favorite bourbon. Call to reserve a spot.
