She won’t be going to the finals, but Kacy Catanzaro has easily been the highlight of this season of American Ninja Warrior.

SEE

American Ninja Warrior season finale The over-the-top athletic competition reaches its finale, which once again takes place in Las Vegas on the obstacle course behemoth known as Mount Midoriyama. Who will win? And when will we get a permanent local American Ninja Warrior attraction? Tune in for the answer to one of those questions. September 8, 9 p.m., NBC.

HEAR

Avalon Landing plays Cosmopolitan's Boulevard Pool on September 4.

Avalon Landing & Ekoh Avalon Landing’s Josh Rabenold lent his pipes on Vegas rapper Ekoh’s latest single, “Paint.” Now see them perform it live on Cosmo’s larger-than-life marquee. We advise getting there early for rising local R&B singer, Yaygos. September 4, 8 p.m., $5, Boulevard Pool.

Cracker & Camper Van Beethoven Double down, David Lowery fans. The bands behind ’80s college-rock anthem “Take the Skinheads Bowling” and ’90s MTV staple “Low”—both of which happen to be fronted by the 53-year-old Lowery—team up for a night of alterna-rock revelry. Weird coincidence, huh? September 7, 7 p.m., $20-$25, Backstage Bar & Billiards.

GO

Pole Expo From the classic competition to the star showcase, the Pole Expo’s first day is about electric, athletic displays and promoting physical and emotional fitness. On a pole! Plus, the event helps raise funds to fight breast cancer and for at-risk kids. September 4-7, 7 p.m., $49, the Pearl.

CHEER

Northern Colorado at UNLV For Rebel football fans looking for some way to forget last week’s 45-point shellacking at Arizona, this oughta do it. At press time, UNLV was a 21-point favorite to win its home opener, which translates to a 66-point turnaround, if oddsmakers are to be believed. Go Rebels! September 6, 7 p.m., $14-$35, Sam Boyd Stadium.

Clif Bar CrossVegas A spandex-clad swarm of athletes will face obstacles like stairs, sand pits and flyovers in this high-speed nighttime cyclocross race, where the spectator-friendly course offers lots of view points—and beer tents! September 10, 5 p.m.-11 p.m., $10, Desert Breeze Soccer Complex.

EAT

Great Vegas Gridiron Grill-Off BBQ & tailgate festival This is the fifth year this Kansas City Barbecue Society-sponsored event has visited Las Vegas, but it’s the first time at the brand-new Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. Sample barbecue while you check out grilling demonstrations and live music. September 6-7, noon-6 p.m., $20, dlvec.com.
