Electric Daisy Carnival, the massive electronic music festival scheduled for May 21-23 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, is still on at this moment, according to a social media announcement from his founder.
"Full EDC LV update coming soon. But as of now, nothing has changed. If we can have a safe show in May, then we’re going to make it happen. If you don’t want to attend, or aren’t able to, no problem! You’ll have the option to transfer your ticket to 2022," read a March 18 tweet and Instagram post by Pasquale Rotella, CEO for Insomniac, the company that produces EDC annually.
"If we’re not able to do the show in May, then we have backup dates ready & refunds if you can’t make our new dates. I appreciate everyone’s patience while we work through everything!," Rotella continued.
Tickets for EDC's Vegas edition remain sold out for now.
If EDC does take place two months from now, it would be the first major music festival in Southern Nevada since the Intersect 2019, produced by Amazon Web Services on the Las Vegas Strip in December of that year.
Still on the Vegas festival calendar for 2021, along with EDC: Psycho Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay (August 20-22), Big Blues Bender at the Westgate (September 9-12), Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend at the Orleans (September 9-12), Life Is Beautiful on the streets of Downtown Las Vegas (September 17-19) and Punk Rock Bowling at Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (September 24-26).
There's been no official word on whether Intersect, hip-hop gathering Day N Vegas or hard rock event Las Rageous plan to return in 2021.
