Six Las Vegas music acts are officially are headed to Life Is Beautiful.

After a summerlong competition that drew more than 100 contestants, the Downtown Las Vegas festival has announced the winners of its Battle of the Bands finale: Arrlo, Decaying Tigers, The Dollheads, Jae Douglass, Secos and Tanna Marie.

Those who keep close track of the local music scene will recognize some of these up-and-comers, but if not, they've got time to get familiar before they play the fest's Rising Stars stage September 16-18. And here are some fun facts to get you started …

The pop quartet Arrlo (IG: arrlomusic), best known for their sing-along hooks, are proudly led by trans singer Sunni Suede.

Decaying Tigers’ (IG: decayingtigers) synthesized electronic style could be described as “8-bit” or, more formally, chiptune—the essence of vintage video game soundtracks.

The members of The Dollheads (IG: the_dollheads), a rocking trio of siblings who’ve been recording music at National Southwestern this summer, are all under 16 years old.

MC Jae Douglass (IG: jaedouglass), who just dropped a new single called “Passenger,” opened for local rap sensation Dizzy Wright at Las Vegas’ Hempfest in 2016.

Spirited alt-rockers Secos (IG: secosband), one of the newer bands on this lineup, have a frontman who dabbled in opera.

And the soulful and sassy Tanna Marie (IG: tannamariesings) isn’t just a singer-songwriter; she’s a two-time slam poetry champion and the winner of 2014’s Fredericksburg Idol, a Virginia-based singing contest.

Each of them will bring something vastly different to the LIB stage. And they’ll be joined by nine others from a nationwide competition hosted by Life Is Beautiful and Sessions Live. Here's the complete list.
