“I just looked at him for a minute,” she says, thinking of the past few years. “There hasn’t been a good day.”
“I remember being that wife, standing next to him while he denied all the [cocktail waitress assault] charges. He said he didn’t do those things because he was a happily married man. I stood there in front of the cameras trying to be supportive. I was thinking, ‘We are happily married, right?’”
“Are you dating my husband?”
“I was the one who went and picked up the paperwork for him to run for the Assembly. I knew he wanted to do it but didn’t think he would do it on his own.”
“It seemed like she showed up everywhere we were all the time.”
