So the Strip’s New Year’s Eve fireworks show sucked. Know what else sucked? Robbie Knievel’s jump “over” the revamped Mirage volcano. So didn’t happen. We were there, and despite what was promoted and what you think you saw on Fox, Evel’s son did not jump over the volcano 41 years after his dad famously biffed at Caesars Palace. No, the prodigal son instead jumped over a ball of flame on the street in front of the volcano. No big scandal here—Robbie even acknowledged to the media afterward that he didn’t jump over the volcano.

We’re just pissed we missed that other dude’s jump.
